Hailing from Warsaw, VTSS (born Martyna Maja) has become one of the most fascinating voices in international underground techno. Influenced early on by EBM, rave, industrial and experimental electronic sounds, she dropped out of law school to immerse herself in Warsaw’s DIY club scene and train as a sound engineer.

Her early EPs, such as Self Will (2018) and Self Control (2019), showcase the raw energy of wild club nights. Moving to Berlin and later London brought new expressive freedoms. The EP Projections (2022) saw VTSS undergo a transformation: her sound textures became denser and she embraced fragmented rhythms, unconventional influences and vocals.

Her live sets and DJ performances at clubs such as Brutaż in Warsaw, Säule and Berghain still form part of her DNA today, offering an intense and unyielding experience full of breaks, reflection and the courage to surprise. VTSS does not seek certainty, but creates sound spaces in which tension, darkness and new beginnings can be experienced.
