Vera Grace is one of the most exciting young voices in European techno. She comes from Amsterdam’s creative underground scene. Her sets combine hypnotic rhythms, industrial textures, and bold sound exploration into a gripping experience between trance and drive. With releases such as What Was Always There, Funktion Over Form, and Time Cycles, she shapes a soundscape that is both dark and full of movement. As a woman in a scene that remains male-dominated, she stands for artistic independence, technical curiosity, and the promotion of female presence behind the decks.

Vera Grace grew up in the Netherlands and found her way to electronic music at an early age. The beginning of her artistic journey was not a chance encounter, but an intense exploration of sound – from her first vinyl discovery to her own stage. What she sought from the beginning was not just a beat, but emotional depth: hypnotic repetitions, modular soundscapes, and industrial structures permeate her sets and productions.

While studying electronic music at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, she deepened this curiosity structurally and began to understand her work processes not only as a DJ, but also as a sound researcher. Working with modular synthesis and a live analog setup opens up sonic dimensions beyond digital standards—a step that strengthens her identity as both a performer and producer.

In a field where visibility and recognition still have to be fought hard for, Vera Grace stands for assertiveness and attitude. She sees herself not merely as a representative, but as an active creator of her sound, opening up deep emotional spaces in her music. Her gigs leave no doubt that she is heard and respected – not despite, but because of her artistic consistency.

She has already played at renowned clubs such as Radion, Grelle Forelle, Tresor Berlin, FTVVR Paris, H7 Warehouse in Amsterdam, RSO.BERLIN, and Elysia Basel, and has set standards at festivals such as Awakenings, DGTL, Intercell, and Aquasella. For many young women in the scene, these stages are not just places, but goals that show that techno is a terrain that is shaped by women – loud, powerful, independent.

Vera Grace’s discography reflects her artistic development. Early on, she laid the foundation for a sound that was dark, intense, and uncompromising with the EP Eternal Perdition. This was followed by releases such as the Manipulation EP (2023) and more recent works such as What Was Always There (2025), which demonstrate her ability to combine technoid hardness with psychedelic depth.

Her spectrum ranges from broken rhythms to ambient-like passages and clear 4/4 drive, appealing to both the club and the mind. These releases appeared on labels such as Sacred Court, Dusk Records, and other platforms rooted in the underground.

What makes Vera Grace distinctive is her ability to combine technical craftsmanship with inner urgency. She does not perform as a performer who simply plays tracks. Rather, she uses layering, modular synthesis, and a live analog setup to build sets that do not repeat but evolve—similar to a spoken sentence that unfolds.

This sound language is not a renunciation of danceability, but an invitation. An invitation to not only hear sound, but to experience it. The intensity of her music is both physically and psychologically tangible.

Although Vera Grace does not place an explicit political agenda above her music, her work in the context of the electronic scene is a statement: visibility counts, role models create spaces. By playing on stages traditionally dominated by male acts, she sends a clear message to young women. Techno knows no boundaries of identity.

Her commitment is also reflected in collaborative projects such as the “WERKSTATT” event in Amsterdam (together with SEMMUS), where old industrial sounds and new perspectives are celebrated in equal measure.
