Hailing from Sweden and living in Berlin, DJ Philippa Pacho has developed a unique, emotionally powerful techno sound. She began her journey in Stockholm’s underground scene, performing at renowned clubs such as Berghain and festivals such as Dekmantel. This led to her being included in the international lineup. As the co-founder of the label Positive Source and the operator of her own projects, she influences not only the sound, but also the community. Her stage presence, curated releases, and artistic vision make her a powerful advocate for diversity and female empowerment in electronic music.
Born and raised in Sweden, Pacho developed her musical style early on through Stockholm’s vibrant DIY underground culture. In 2012, she began honing her sound at the legendary Under Bron residency, creating a technoid cosmos of emotional and deep grooves and trance-like moments that feels both raw and refined. In Berlin, she further developed this signature style, seamlessly transforming genres and moods into a coherent set experience. Her performances balance hypnotic energy with a playful approach to rhythm that entices listeners to dance.
Pacho’s career has included performances at iconic clubs and international festivals. She has thrilled audiences at Berghain (Berlin), FOLD (London), Bassiani (Tbilisi), The Bassement (Madrid), RSO.BERLIN, and many other notable venues. At festivals such as Dekmantel, Intercell, Reworks, Awakenings, Glitch, Stone Techno, Wake Up, and Pollerwiesen, she demonstrates her ability to spin intense techno narratives that permeate beats, emotions, and spaces equally. As the co-operator of the Positivesource label, which she runs with Blue Hour, Philippa provides a platform for forward-thinking techno, trance, and rave music.
