Lolsnake (Danielle Lumma Rahal) is an Iraqi-American DJ, producer and visual artist who is based in Berlin. She founded Weeeirdos, a queer event and platform series which has been running since 2017 and now has a residency at Säule in Berlin.
Musically, Lolsnake’s sets combine hypnotic techno, angel trance, squishy acid and cosmic bleep, and she often plays with tension, surprise and emotion on the dance floor. Her sets are characterised by genre diversity, careful dramaturgy and a strong aesthetic.
As a woman, a queer person and an individual with a migrant background, Lolsnake plays an important role in raising visibility, promoting diversity and empowering marginalised groups. Weeeirdos not only offers club nights, but also provides a platform for marginalised voices and alternative forms of creative expression.
