Born Kiki Wesselo in the Netherlands, KI/KI developed from the Amsterdam underground scene into a defining figure on the international electronic music scene. Her sets blend these genres to create a unique style that is simultaneously energetic, hypnotic, nostalgic and futuristic.
She has set new standards with her rousing live performances at festivals such as Draaimolen, AMF, Glitch Festival, Intercell, Awakenings, ADE, Fairground, Baum Festival, Exit, SonneMondSterne and Time Warp, as well as at legendary clubs such as Berghain in Berlin, Amnesia in Ibiza and Bassiani in Tbilisi. Her Boiler Room sets showcase her ability to take audiences on an intense emotional journey that transcends dance music.
Through her own label, Slash, KI/KI releases her own tracks and promotes up-and-coming talent. Notable releases include the Leave It to the Vibe EP and the acid anthem “5 Mins of Acid”. Remixes such as Felix’s “Don’t You Want Me” demonstrate their creative reinterpretation of classics.
However, Slash is more than just a label; it is a platform for diversity and female empowerment that promotes young talent. KI/KI uses their position to raise the profile of women in the scene, inspire new female artists, and foster an inclusive rave community.
