Dona Volkova, whose real name is Anastasia Volkova, is a Russian-born DJ who specialises in dub techno and deep techno. She has become a familiar face on the Prague music scene, where her performances regularly create mesmerising soundscapes. She is renowned for her deep, almost trance-like performances, where dub techno, deep techno and ambient elements blend together seamlessly. Interestingly, she predominantly works with vinyl, giving her mixes a special authenticity and directness. She is regularly active in underground locations in Prague. She has appeared in the podcast series Groove Bar, among other Things. She works with labels such as Accepted, Augmented Reality Records and Mikro Records.
She has also performed at other clubs, such as Bike Jesus. This venue is emblematic of the urban nightlife in which her sound journeys flourish. In October 2025, Dona Volkova appeared on the “Matter of Fact” podcast, where she performed an amazing dub techno set. This provided a valuable opportunity to get to know her better, both visually and in terms of her work. Her growing importance in the scene is underscored by the fact that she has already released her sets on podcasts such as the “Groove Bar Podcast Series”.
