Hailing from Friesland, Carmen Lisa is a Dutch techno DJ who has worked her way up from underground parties to major festivals.She has firmly established herself as a regular presence on the international techno scene. Her distinctive sound, which combines raw energy, hypnotic atmospheres and driving grooves, captivates festival and club audiences alike.
As her career has progressed, she has performed on some of the world’s most iconic stages: These include festivals such as 909 Festival, Loveland, Awakenings, Tomorrowland and Extrema, as well as clubs such as Radion, Perron and Tresor. She has toured Mexico, Argentina and China, and performed an outstanding double set at the Rave the Planet Parade in Berlin in front of nearly half a million people.
As well as performing live, Carmen Lisa releases her own tracks and remixes that reflect her signature techno style. She is the co-founder of the RIOT collective, which promotes and raises the profile of female talent through radio shows, workshops, and collaborations. It was her commitment and artistic independence that made her one of the first female artists signed to the renowned GEM Records booking agency.
Carmen Lisa combines her passion for music with a clear focus on diversity, female empowerment and the promotion of young talent. Each performance, track and project demonstrates how women can influence and inspire the electronic music scene, paving the way for the next generation of female artists.
