Barbara Preisinger is a formative figure on the Berlin club scene. Her DJ career began in Munich in 1996 before she moved to Berlin in 1998. There she worked as a promoter for electronic music and founded the label ˜scape with Stefan Betke in 1999, which promoted artists such as Kit Clayton and Jan Jelinek. She continued to develop musically and became internationally recognised as a DJ. Her style combines driving house and deep techno, with appearances at festivals such as Sonar, Mutek and DEMF. In 2009, she founded her vinyl label SLICES OF LIFE, which focusses on organic club music. In the same year, she launched the DEEP IN THE BOX event series, which has been taking place at Berlin's legendary TRESOR since 2015. With her passion for electronic music, she continues to shape the scene - as a DJ, label operator and event organiser.
