
Bárbara Lago was born in northern Spain and moved to A Coruña in 2015. At around the age of 22, she bought her first DJ equipment and gradually started performing at local clubs. Six months later, she became a resident DJ at Club El Pelícano, which boosted her creative confidence and visibility.
She started out musically in melodic techno, but over time expanded her soundscape to include acid and industrial textures, as well as hard techno. Her sets combine raw energy with rave influences to create tension and challenge the audience, while clearly showcasing her own sound.
She performs at renowned festivals such as Monegros, Ultra, Dreambeach and Kappa Futur, as well as at clubs including Fabrik, Florida 135 and Industrial Copera. She has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Amelie Lens, Daniella da Silva and Oscar Mulero.
With her 2023/24 EP Emergency Control, released on No Mercy Records, she made her debut as a producer, proving that her sound is as powerful on record as it is live.
As a woman in this scene, she sets a strong example through her perseverance, technical expertise, and independence. She demonstrates how to push boundaries with clarity of vision, musical taste and genuine determination, inspiring many to not only listen, but also to create sound themselves.
