Having originally trained as a dancer, Carla discovered a new creative outlet through music following an accident, teaching herself how to produce in the process. As an autodidact, she released the EPs ‘My Fears’, ‘Fragments’, and ‘Discipline’ — intimate sound stories about strength, vulnerability, and self-discovery. With Red Ambition, she created a holistic audiovisual work, choreographing and filming it herself — an expression of her comprehensive artistic vision.
Her artistic vision extends far beyond the club. Through her event series, Vibrate, she creates a safe space for diversity, freedom, and equality, where music becomes a collective, liberating experience. Backed by labels such as Voxnox, Gomboc Records and Maison Close, she has performed at renowned venues like the Rex Club and LET HIM COOK in Paris, Tresor in Berlin and Hör Berlin, as well as at festivals including Possession, Verknipt, 404 Techno Error, Little Festival and Organïk Festival in Paris.
Carla Schmitt has now also established herself internationally. With performances in North America and India, she is expanding her sphere of influence far beyond Europe.
