Aida Arko is a techno producer and DJ of Iranian origin, based in Vienna. She has made a name for herself internationally thanks to her powerful, uncompromising sound. Her style fuses hard industrial beats with mesmerising drones and experimental soundscapes. This blend establishes her as one of the most distinctive voices in European hard techno. Having grown up in Iran in the 1990s, she was influenced by the underground scene there and the cultural diversity of her home country, before eventually moving to Europe to pursue her artistic vision freely.
She quickly established herself in Vienna’s club scene, performing at venues such as Grelle Forelle, Amnesia Ibiza and Pratersauna. Her releases on labels such as Suara, Gain Records, System A (her own label) and Meat Recordings highlight her stylistic diversity and global reach. With tracks such as ‘Unholy’ and ‘Story of My Maker’, she made the leap to the big stage.
She has thrilled audiences at renowned festivals such as the Verknipt Festival in Amsterdam and the Terminal V Festival in Edinburgh. She has also shared the stage with, Cera Khin and Daniella Da Silva on the Face 2 Face project, and appeared on Radio Rudina and Hör Berlin — platforms known for avant-garde electronic music. With her uncompromising energy and artistic depth, Aida Arko is now one of the most exciting acts on the modern techno scene.
